Our Mission

New York Charter Parents Association will advocate for families with children in the New York State public school system. We will empower parents to successfully advocate for their children by fostering an organization of parents, grandparents and extended families that will catalyze change in public education throughout New York State.

Our mission is to be:
1. The independent and powerful voice of charter parents
2. Supportive of the growth of successful models of public school choice and parental involvement.
3. Promoters and advocates for public policy that furthers the advancement of public charter schools and the innovations in education they represent.

We will accomplish our mission by providing advocacy training to parents through workshops to empower them to organize and fight for the civil right of their children to attend public charter schools.
